Snow Day

If you live in an area where it snows a lot, you most likely make fun of us Southern Folk who go a little crazy when it snows. We have had our fair share the last couple weeks. This past snow was the “good snow”, you know, the fluffy soft stuff you can make snow cream and snowmen with. My husband Shannon and I took a drive to take the snow in and of course, I took my cameras along. I shot mostly film, but I did shoot a few digital images along to way too. Hopefully, the film images are to come…those are in process.

Caged Flight on Etsy

Looking for a Valentine’s gift for you wife? Or maybe you just want to buy something special for yourself. My friend Amy McIntyre has an awesome jewelry store on Etsy called Caged Flight. Amy works at Lenoir with me as a Ceramics and Videography instructor. I absolute LOVE her artwork. I have purchased several jewelry pieces (would love to have some of her fine art too!)that include some that I spoiled myself with and then some I purchased for my Sister, Mom, and Mother-in-Law. What I love about her work is her attention to detail. She is definitely dedicated to craftsmanship. So, go check it out today….handmade gifts are always really special!

Kimberlea :: Head Shots

My good friend Kimberlea and her husband just moved up to Washington D.C. They were of course welcomed by a very large blanket of snow. You  might recognize Kimberlea from other images floating around my website. She was married in ’08 and I had the pleasure of photographing for her. Kimberlea was a Theater alumni from East Carolina University and has been in a number of plays in the past few years. She will be getting involved in the stage up in D.C. and needed some last minute head shots before she headed out. I always look forward to photographing her because she is very open not to mention a joy to photograph. So, we had one last get together before she hit the road:
